Words Are Not Enough. | Parlance Vox
https://parlancevox.wordpress.com/2014/11/12/singaporewritersfestivalreview
Our voice on communication and training. Words Are Not Enough. November 12, 2014. I attended the Singapore Writers Festival, 2014. This isn’t a recap of that. Google that. This is a list of what wasn’t said. 1) A lot of it. People talked and talked. And yet, it seemed to me, very little was said. 2) Many young writers were present and tried to put forth their concerns and expectations of the writing world. Very little real guidance. Definitely. Out of words, come actions. Maybe someday, somehow.

Welcome to Paul Mann and Joanne Whistler s personal site. Parlanchina is the name of our narrowboat. It is named after a character of Louis de Bernieres. Parlanchina is a young girl (who dies but comes back as a happy ghost) who talks with the animals, has a pet ocelot, and is generally enchanting. The name loosely translates as little chatterbox. It may have been appropriate for the rattly old engine the boat once had, alternatively Joanne is not known for her restraint when it comes to talking.
