Alyssa @ Greymouth High School. Greymouth, West Coast, New Zealand. Friday, 26 August 2016. This basketball season was epic! Last night's score was 51-6, to us. I scored 5 shots and missed a lot. Playing basketball was awesome, it was so fun! This was my first year playing basketball, towards the end of the year I got a lot better at shooting and dribbling. I definitely recommend playing basketball as it is super fun and you don't have to be really competitive to play. Alyssa @ Paroa School.

On Monday the 21st, I woke up excited and enthusiastic to go tramping at Mikonui flats. Travelling to school felt like it took forever. Catarina @ Paroa School. Wednesday, 23 November 2016. Challenge #6 Tramping the Mikonui. Tramping was a very interesting experience with my peers. It was nice to be in the Great Outdoors with my old friends. The River crossings meant that we had to have trust in each other. One of my favourite parts of when we got to jump off a rock into a freezing cold river. Jumping off a rock into cold water is quite exhilarating. This was a good experience and I can't wait till the next challenge.

Catarina @ Paroa School. Friday, 26 August 2016. End of Basketball Tournament! This season was my first basketball season, and I really enjoyed it! Yesterday was the last game I had for Paroa School and we played against the St Patrick team. We had a really good game and our team work was the best it has been the whole season. Catarina @ Paroa School. Friday, 18 November 2016. This week has been a big week for New Zealand. The 7.8 earthquake in Kaikoura turned loved homes, into rubble. My heart goes out to the Kaikoura Community, it must be really hard to go through what they are right now. We could feel the earthquake here in Greymouth, so I can't imagine how viscous it would be in Kaikoura. Although I am looking forward to High School, to reunite with my friends from other schools and share memories with them as well.
