We had a positive pregnancy test the day after we moved the bulk of our belongings into our new, mid-renovation house (Sept. 29). God is funny like that. We'd been wanting a new house and new baby all year, and yup, ok, here ya go, all at once, see what you can do with that, tiny, insignificant humans! Ask and ye shall receive! Cutest Jessie you've ever seen.

Tuesday, April 23, 2013. We did have many rehearsals, makeup and hair sessions (many thanks to our resident cosmetologist, Nana) and "professional" pictures made. The event actually prompted Parrish to say that he could learn to French braid her hair. Please do, honey, because it confuses me and makes my head hurt trying to figure out why that it works and where the hair is supposed to go. Sheesh. Red, red lips. With her biggest fan, Nanie. Lots of flowers for the star. Don't believe the angelic pose.

Monday, October 29, 2012. To make you giggle. The munchkin was playing doctor on me the other night, complete with boo-boo wash. I asked if she was the doctor and she said, "No, I'm the boo-boo washer." I asked who I was and she said, "The hold-stiller.". We were reading a book and it said, "And then Mama lost her. (temper)."
