Jul 23rd, 2007 06:17 am. So now Apollo is caged by himself. I wanted to let him out with the other birds while I can supervise but he would fly out of his cage the second I opened the door, fly into the main cage, pluck a crest feather out of the first bird he came to, and fly away again. Clipping his wings is out of the question because he only has one foot and uses his wings to balance himself.

Budgie Information and More. And we are waiting on new eggs to hatch instead of taking an older one. I only had a few questions to ask. 1 I read that chemicals are bad for budgies. They are for chinchillas too (I have two chinchillas). For the chinchilla cage I use cage cleaner that they sell at pet stores, would this be okay for bird cages? 2 If weather is nice outside, can I move the cage outside for a bit during the day just so it can have some fresh air? Dec 20th, 2011. What to do when your bird bites. I just came across these great Dos and Don'ts for if your bird bites you. Thought I'd share. :). Posted at 10:08 pm. Apr 5th, 2009. I wised up to that quickly enough, but this past week she's been trying again, specifically pooping on me as a way to get me to pay attention to her. I'm taking it as a sign that I need to spend more time with her, it's probably b/c I've had a busy couple weeks at work. I tell ya, I've got a smart little pooper here. Any ideas...
