Birds Of A Feather. The Joys of Parronthood. January 31, 2008 in Parrotlets. The Parrotlets have laid an egg! Fertility won’t be known for another 6 days, but with all the mating that has been going on (and still is, as they are mating as I type this), I’m sure we will have a healthy clutch of babies by the end of February! Birds Of A Feather. The Joys of Parronthood. March 17, 2008 in Lovebirds. The only baby from the Parrotlets has been pulled tonight for handfeeding. He looks to be a green, though I still do not know what sex. He is small for his age and I’m hoping he will start to grow and soon be caught up with what he should be. He was banded a few days ago and so far it looks like I got in on right on time! All of the Lovebirds are on eggs, though sadly, I don’t think any of the eggs from. Isis and Osiris are still s...

Birds Of A Feather. The Joys of Parronthood. March 11, 2008 in Lovebirds. Well, unfortunately the second. One of my Lovebird pairs, look to have 6 fertile eggs and if they all hatch, it will be the largest clutch they have ever had. Have 3 fertile eggs and if they hatch, it should be any day now. Isis and Osiris have 3 eggs but it looks like only one may be fertile as of yet though it is hard to tell. March 4, 2008 in Uncategorized. February 29, 2008 in Parrotlets. Another Day Goes By. Birds Of A Feather. The Joys of Parronthood. A Long Time Coming. April 21, 2008 in Caiques. I know it has been awhile. I’ve been rather busy with babies to feed, my job, and school work. But there is news from the bird room! The Parrotlet’s baby is doing great, it is a little green boy which I have named Froggie since he was born on Leap Day. He is still available for deposit. The Lovebirds are feeling spring fever right now. Isis and Osiris are on 2 fertile eggs. These babies are always so beautiful...

Second Baby Arrives | Birds Of A Feather
https://barefootaviary.wordpress.com/2008/05/04/second-baby-arrives
Birds Of A Feather. The Joys of Parronthood. May 4, 2008 in Caiques. The Parrotlets, Simon and Doe, have hatched their second baby. Both babies and adults are doing great. The next baby should hatch in about 2-3 days or so. These babies should be ready about 6-7 weeks after the last baby hatches. I heard Dweezel, my male Caique feeding Zorro, my female Caique yesterday and right when he was finished, I opened the nest box and saw food on Zorro face. So he is actually feeding her which is great! You are c...
Thank You | Birds Of A Feather
https://barefootaviary.wordpress.com/2008/04/28/thank-you
Birds Of A Feather. The Joys of Parronthood. April 28, 2008 in Lovebirds. I wanted to thank everyone who attended the Brainerd Bird Sale yesterday. It was a very good sale, I met many people and got to laugh a lot. I especially want to thank everyone who has supported my aviary by purchasing birds, toys, and gifts from me or have been there for advice or just listen to my rambling. Yesterday at the sale, I met Angie from Sunny Hollow Aviaries. BareFoot Aviary’s Feathered Wiki. Weblogs and Wikis Daybook.

Birds Of A Feather. The Joys of Parronthood. A Long Time Coming. August 28, 2008 in Lovebirds. I know it has been a long time and I bet there are very few people that were that worried, but I am back. Life in the aviary has gone on just fine, but life in the rest of the house was turned over a few months ago. I am now on my own and trying to work, finish my last semester of college and tend to the birds by myself. But enough of that! Let’s get to the real issues at hand! Weblogs and Wikis Daybook.
