It was a long way to go to see the Blackhawks lose a hockey game, but the chance to see the city of Vancouver was worth it nonetheless. 100 Blackhawk fans, myself being one of them, made the trip to Vancouver for a hockey weekend. Grand Opening of the Basement. Grand Opening of the Basement. September 1, 2014. Took months to (mostly) complete, but the grand opening of the basement (once affectionately dubbed Craig and Jen’s Room of Leisure and Amusement) will be Labor Day Weekend 2014. The centerpiece is the bowling alley bar top. Years (decades) of memorabilia will adorn the walls (but mostly commemorating the 2005 White Sox and the 2010 and 2013 Blackhawks).
