Passionate Techie: Inconvenient MVC Web Optimization Framework and High CPU Utilization
https://passionatetechie.blogspot.com/2014/01/mvc-web-optimization-framework-10-and.html
It's all about my journey in the cloud. Sunday, January 19, 2014. Inconvenient MVC Web Optimization Framework and High CPU Utilization. While I am writing this post I am bit relaxed and listening to 'bollywood' music so don't wonder if you find anything off topic or typos :), lazy weekend! What was the issue? Last week, while working with the Window azure cloud services we tried to stress test it and guess what we found? Thanks to the Visual Studio profiling framework which helped me a-lot. Irony is, the...

Passionate Techie: Get MIME Type by file extension
https://passionatetechie.blogspot.com/2014/02/get-mime-type-by-file-extension.html
It's all about my journey in the cloud. Thursday, February 27, 2014. Get MIME Type by file extension. I was searching for a way to get the MIME type of a file by file extension and .NET Framework 4.5 comes to the rescue. You can make use of API GetMimeMapping which is found in the .NET Framework 4.5 System.Web.dll. Here is the documentation of it - http:/ msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.mimemapping.getmimemapping.aspx. Example on how you can use it. Hope you find this useful.

It's all about my journey in the cloud. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Error Solved : http:/ schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/name was not present on the provided ClaimsIdentity. While working with MVC application , I came across an interesting thing and got something to learn from it so thought to share. Typically when you implement any MVC web application , you want to implement some security features in it and hence use of anti-forgery token. 8211; it simply uses User.Identity.Name. This Erro...

SharePoint Julie: April 2015

Thursday, April 16, 2015. Random # Signs in Field Values in SharePoint Designer Workflow Emails. Well I'd rather it say:. How I fixed it:. In SharePoint Designer, I noticed when selecting the field to insert, at the "Lookup for String" popup box, there was one more option I could choose called "Return field as". This one, by default, was string. Sounds correct as is right? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View Past Blog Posts. Random # Signs in Field Values in SharePoint Desig. SharePoint on Office 365.

Friday, September 9, 2011. The Use of ID and Calculated Columns. Here's where SharePoint got a little confused. I was updating a calculated column in the same "Parent" list, but not affecting nor touching the other field I had, but now, when looking at views and the individual parent item, I noticed the "[ID]" was now blank. What in the world? My field worked again. Thinking I messed up somewhere, I chalked this one up to user error. Then, it happened again. Really? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Microsoft ...

Thursday, April 24, 2014. That Pesty "View All Site Content" Link in SharePoint 2010. So, after upgrading to SharePoint 2010, I noticed the code I used on much of my site to hide this link no longer worked. Not a super big deal, I just prefer not to show the normal site visitor the guts of my site. Go into the v4.master or your version of that master page. Find the following code:. Change the highlighted part from "ViewFormPages" to "ManageWeb". It should now look like this:. In SharePoint 2010, they inc...

Saturday, October 20, 2012. Upload a Newer Version of a JS File, But the Site Still Displays Old File. This was the source of my frustration for what seemed like ages, but it was something I've seen over the past few weeks that I was meaning to get to, but just didn't have enough time to sit down, research and troubleshoot. How I fixed it:. I renamed the file that wasn't uploading correctly. Yes, it wasn't uploading correctly. I verified my file to upload was correct, uploaded it and downloaded i...OK, s...

Monday, May 23, 2011. JQuery, The Next Venture. Today I purchased two books (I can almost hear the gasps from some already, yes, books) on jQuery, a scripting concoction based off of JavaScript, that lets you do so much more in Web Development, with less code, less reliance on things like Flash and helps you get around walls that exist in platforms like SharePoint. I've seen many great examples and now's my time to figure it out! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View Past Blog Posts. JQuery, The Next Venture.

Tuesday, December 30, 2014. SharePoint Saturday 2015, Virginia Beach. Just a heads up, it's 2015 very soon and per the norm, January and Virginia Beach and SharePoint nerds = SharePoint Saturday at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Virginia Beach. A day of short sessions, free knowledge, free food and door prizes (if you stay until the end). So, what's to lose, other than a Saturday in a cold blah day in the winter? Oh, and did I mention there's usually a SharePint afterwards? View Past Blog Posts.

Thursday, February 12, 2015. Navigate Up Isn't Showing Anything to Navigate UP to. After upgrading to SharePoint 2010 from SharePoint 2007, new features were incorporated that made life just that much easier in SharePoint, like the Navigate Up folder icon that appears just above the site icon. Why is it like that? How to fix it? In the master page, you should see the following code:. Asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderId="PlaceHolderTitleBreadcrumb" runat="server" /. That didn't work for me! Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Ever wondered when editing a webpart's properties what that "Audiences" box helped you do? Well when I figured out how I could use it, I used the hell out of it. It's a neat little addition but has its drawbacks. Audiences allow you to control who can see that webpart. Simple as that. Audiences however, can only be a group, or several groups, but not individual users, so you need to think groups first before working with audiences. Monday, September 24, 2012. Picture Window...

Cries of a prayerful woman. September 11, 2016} Words Can Be…. Recently, I have learned that words can be everything. I have always known that your tongue, though it may be a small part of your body, is one of the most powerful things that can reflect who you are. We need (speaking to myself as well) to remind ourselves that we have a choice in how we speak, who we trust, how we react, and how we treat ourselves and others. We mess up at times, but that does not mean that we give-up. Not every friendship...
