Pass the Chiclets: review: Chasing Shadows
http://passthechiclets.blogspot.com/2014/08/review-chasing-shadows.html
Wednesday, 6 August 2014. By Swati Avasthi; graphics by Craig Phillips. Knopf BFYR, September 24 2013. Young adult contemporary thriller. From Goodreads, b/c it's stellar):. Before: Corey, Holly, and Savitri are one unit—fast, strong, inseparable. Together they turn Chicago concrete and asphalt into a freerunner’s jungle gym, ricocheting off walls, scaling buildings, leaping from rooftop to rooftop. But acting like a superhero doesn’t make you bulletproof. Based off of Audrey's recommendation. With my ex...
Pass the Chiclets: review: The Burning Sky
http://passthechiclets.blogspot.com/2014/08/review-burning-sky.html
Friday, 8 August 2014. Review: The Burning Sky. Balzer Bray, September 17 2013. Iolanthe is the great elemental mage destined to take down the Bane. well, that's according to Prince Titus, who takes destiny very seriously. Iolanthe isn't as willing to sacrifice her life for a fate she isn't sure she can accomplish. But the Bane and his Inquisitor are looking for Iolanthe, too, and to save herself, she might just have to save the world. Yeah, it's worth reading the book just for that. :D. 3 out of 5. ...
Pass the Chiclets: fall update: checking in/out.
http://passthechiclets.blogspot.com/2014/09/fall-update-checking-inout.html
Monday, 8 September 2014. Fall update: checking in/out. I've been super-absent. And there I was three posts ago, anticipating that things would get busy around Pass the Chiclets. I always have the best of intentions, and those never hold up against my inertia, sigh. Blogging inertia, that is — it's been quite busy in the non-virtual aspects of my life, but I won't attribute this lack of blog momentum entirely to real, outside life. So thank you for reading. May your days be prosperous and joyous. WoW (49...
Pass the Chiclets: summer update: I'm back!
http://passthechiclets.blogspot.com/2014/07/summer-update-im-back.html
Thursday, 31 July 2014. Summer update: I'm back! Half of the summer's over already (whaaat) and I'm finally back in town and here to stay for at least the month of August. Many books were read over the past few weeks, so hopefully Pass the Chiclets will grind back into gear and start rolling. Here's hoping that once I get back into the groove of review-writing, things will get busy. By Swati Avasthi. I loved her debut novel, Split. Good ol' fashioned high fantasy! Billy Twitters and His Blue Whale Problem.

holes In My brain: Book Review Archive
http://holes-in-my-brain.blogspot.com/2009/06/book-review-archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Welcome to my book review archive,. Yes I am aware that it is incredibly small and doesn't deserve the name "archive", maybe collection. Measely collection. Oh well, I have set the bar high. Okay, there are now over. Reviews, I think it can be called and archive now :) I feel happy. I have been reviewing books for almost 2 years, and I've come a long way since then. My reviewing skills have improved, so the reviews that are unformatted and look like a mess do not. holes In My brain: May 2015
http://holes-in-my-brain.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Sarah Dessen has written 12 novels… and I’ve read every single one of them (she has her own tag. That should be a clue to how much influence she has had over my reading habits these past five years – she’s a staple of Young Adult fiction, and rightfully so (in my opinion). To be honest, the last book of hers that I really loved was Along for the Ride. Perhaps my favourite Dessen book? I wasn’t sure if it would be a hit or a miss. It was a hit. Ah, the characters! Of course, I adored...

holes In My brain: Rating System
http://holes-in-my-brain.blogspot.com/p/rating-system.html
I have a weird rating system, in the fact that all my ratings are over 5. Why? Well, because where I live, 49% is a fail (in school) and 90's are the good grades. This kind of stuck with me, so I feel I’m “failing” a book if I give it 50% (5/10), capiche? And I hate giving books a huge “fail” rating, so listen up! If you go see the " My Tags. And a book that is 9/10 would be in " Rating: 9. Pretty easy peasy :). My feelings about my ratings:. Or above is absolutely phenomenal. Something 9.1-9.3/10. A cra...

Friday, March 6, 2015. 3 down, 1 to go. anyone have a copy of Attachments. Georgie McCool knows her marriage is in trouble; it has been in trouble for a long time. She still loves her husband, Neal, and Neal still loves her, deeply — but that almost seems beside the point now. Maybe that was always beside the point. When her husband and the kids leave for the airport, Georgie wonders if she’s finally done it. If she’s ruined everything. Is that what she’s supposed to do? My favourite read of 2013) made m...

Saturday, April 11, 2015. BR: All The Rage. I've read every novel (minus novella) that Courtney Summers has published, and I feel like I have this "bond" with her books - mostly because she debuted the year I got into blogging (2009) and I remember reading reviews of Cracked Up to Be. I'm gonna plug an interview I did with her a couple years ago because that was on my blogging bucket list ( click here. And I fondly say that she is the "plus one" to my holy trinity of YA authors. And thought about. It...

Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Friday, September 14, 2007. IPhone vs iPod Touch. It is a very difficult decision, now that the difference in price between iPhone and the iPod Touch is a $100.00. I really like them both, but the idea of a device that has everything makes me forget about the extra money. Gosh if I could only get out of my Verizon contract. Listen to this article.
