The Nichols Family: August 2009
http://jeffnlisafamily.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 17, 2009. If anyone who has heard Jeff and I talking about our church wonders what we mean when we say that it holds to "Reformed Theology" I thought it would be helpful to post this definition:. What is Reformed Theology? Presupposes God's Word alone as our ultimate authority. Stresses the sovereignty of God, that is, His reign over all things, meticulously determining (Eph 1:11) all that comes to pass (i.e. God is never taken by surprise). Wednesday, August 12, 2009. Jeff and I were bapt...

Wednesday, August 25, 2010. First Day of School. I have a 1st grader and a Kindergartener. I can't believe that I have them at the same time! He passed his evaluation with flying colors. The next day he began his first day of Kindergarten.a full year earlier than I had expected! He still looks so small, yet he acted like such a big boy. So handsome sitting there. I sure do miss them when they're gone and boy so does Lola! But I know they are in a great place! Monday, August 16, 2010. Lola Marie is Three!

Needless to say, we missed the mess out of him. But we also had some unexpected moments that stretched me to tackle tasks Chad would normally handle. There was definitely some frustration at the time but we can look back and giggle now! Things a Wife Learns to Do While Her Husband is Away. 8 Program the sprinkler system. Adventures in living under grace. Friday, January 28, 2011. Dayle's Black Bean Soup. MmmmI am getting hungry thinking about it. It's 10 now - that's not too early for lunch is it? I made this for dinner last night - it's easy and tasty and you can put just about anything you have on hand in it. And what good is it having a friend for an RD if she doesn't include a nutrition analysis in her recipes? So I've done the basics for you. Enjoy! Makes: 12 cups. Serves 8. http://daylehogue.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Adventures in living under grace. Thursday, February 24, 2011. Chad and I had an enlightening conversation last night. I learned that I don't have a hobby. Chad says those aren't hobbies, they are chores. So with that said. I need help. I need a hobby. What should I do? Wednesday, February 16, 2011. What's the deal with anchovies anyways? Did anyone know that they can go from this:. All crunchy, spiney, fishy, oily, boney. Then to this: creamy, salty, tangy goodness? Hello caesar salad dressing! Ugh Some...

Life More Abundant: Running in Florida
http://daylehogue.blogspot.com/2011/04/running-in-florida.html
Adventures in living under grace. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. I've had a really hard time adjusting to the heat/humidity combo. Probably because I go out for a run and my shins start hurting and I'm gulping for air like a fish out of water and since I'm a big baby, I back off. Don't get me wrong. I've had several runs with decent mileage (4-5 miles) but on average, I think I deserve a cookie if I survive a 1-2 miler. Which is probably why I have been so excited about my new running shoes! How Sweet It Is.

http://daylehogue.blogspot.com/2011/03/food.html
Adventures in living under grace. Thursday, March 17, 2011. If you know me at all, you know I love food. I love to smell food. Think about food. Cook food. Taste food. Day dream about food. Analyze food. Touch food. Grow food. Take pictures of food. Read about food. Chop food. Share food. Try new food. Talk about food. Does the word "food" look funny to you, too, now? All this to say: I am so excited for warmer weather! The abundance of fresh produce is good for my heart (figuratively and literally!

http://daylehogue.blogspot.com/2011/03/learning-to-fight-back.html
Adventures in living under grace. Thursday, March 10, 2011. Learning to Fight Back. 1 Peter 5:8 says that the devil "prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.". Satan knows just what to do so he can gobble me up. Lie. Nothing fancy or elaborate. And the same exact lie works pretty much every time. Well, I'm finally getting wise to his ways. Truth wins, Jesus wins! March 10, 2011 at 8:33 PM. Praising God for what turned out to be a faithful, fruitful lunch/study today. How Sweet It Is.
