My blogs about life, God, family, and ministry. Making excuses or seizing opportunities? Posted by Pastor Tyler Sollie. On May 15, 2009. I had a thought strike me yesterday: "Am I making excuses or seizing opportunities? I had the chance to spend the day with Josh Jamison (one of my closest friends and co-worker) and a mentor to us, Monty Hipp. It was a day full of thinking, praying, talking and reflecting about life and ministry. I want to be a leader that is seizing opportunities! Follow me on Twitter.

My blogs about life, God, family, and ministry. Posted by Pastor Tyler Sollie. On May 27, 2010. Last night we wrapped up a series at eastridge youth. Entitled "WHOLE". We have focused over the past few weeks on how to live a life that is pure. Here are 10 thoughts/principles that I think will help each of us live this out:. 1 Jesus needs to be the priority of our life. In Genesis 39 we read about Joseph facing a temptation - a test. His response: "How could I sin against my God.". Your thoughts will lead...

My blogs about life, God, family, and ministry. Posted by Pastor Tyler Sollie. On December 28, 2009. Every year I am amazed at how quickly the wrapping paper comes off, the boxes open up and the gifts are put into use. Now that our boys are getting a little older, each year brings a little more anticipation - "When can we open the gifts? There is so much excitement this time of year because there is anticipation about what is inside of the box. What about the gifts that God has given to each of us. R...

My blogs about life, God, family, and ministry. Where do you go for input? Posted by Pastor Tyler Sollie. On April 28, 2010. Who we seek counsel from is important. It seems that all too often we look every place besides the voices that we need to listen to when it comes to seeking after wisdom and advice. I shared some thoughts with our interns the other morning on who we get our advice and input from that I thought would be worth passing along. 2 Listen to the advice of wisdom. My blogs about life, God, family, and ministry. Posted by Pastor Tyler Sollie. On September 30, 2009. I loved that when I woke up today I could sense that fall was back. Everything around me is pointing to that reality: we are beginning a new season. Some people approach seasons differently. When fall hits, I know people who almost go into a sense of mourning because summer is gone. Others seem to enjoy the season, no matter what it holds. Posted by Pastor Tyler Sollie. My blogs about life, God, family, and ministry. Reflections from Summer Camp 2009. Posted by Pastor Tyler Sollie. On July 30, 2009. It is always amazing to see what Jesus will do in the life of a student during a week of camp. I love seeing students build new friendships, having fun and most of all connecting with the God who loves them! This years camp was no exception! Pastor Josh was amazing on Tuesday as he talked about An Awakening. The altar time was powerful as students pressed into God. I...One t...
