Mighty Men | Pastor Tom Types
https://pastortomtypes.wordpress.com/2007/08/25/mighty-men
Musings from a pastor trying to keep up with technology. August 25, 2007. I haven’t seen “300” (I think it’s got some typical Hollywood sexual ratings boosters in it), but I read an extensive review in the paper where the reviewer was asking this same question – why do men like these films so much? The reviewer was a woman by the way – she obviously just didn’t get it.) I’ve got my opinion as to why we guys like these films, but what do you think? I’d love to hear from some women too! On August 25, 2007.

Musings from a pastor trying to keep up with technology. August 13, 2007. Bonds; Barry Bonds 007 ish. Can’t we find someone to honor and hold up as awesome than some overpaid “professional” athlete who may or may not have been aided a little bit with drugs? I say leave the man alone with his records and money and put your interest in someone else. May I suggest someone? You want to see broken records? You want to be impressed? So, who are your heros? I would really like to know. August 13, 2007. I am on ...
Vacation’s almost over | Pastor Tom Types
https://pastortomtypes.wordpress.com/2007/08/18/vacations-almost-over
Musings from a pastor trying to keep up with technology. August 18, 2007. Vacation’s almost over. I hate that feeling you get just before returning to work when you’ve been on vacation. It’s like when you return home after being away for a while and everything seems just a little unfamiliar. So I lay in bed and have to force myself not to think about work, and how awful it will be to get through all the e-mails; especially the junk e-mails. What have you got to lose? I believe you can do it! You are comm...

Musings from a pastor trying to keep up with technology. August 24, 2007. Have you ever wondered why people suffer depression most at the wee hours of the night? So, the next time you feel fearful – about anything, why not remember this little accrostic? It certainly has helped me. Well, even though it’s gloomy outside I am going to go sieze the day. Have a good one. Laquo; Vacation’s almost over. I woke up grumpy today as well… Then I mowed the lawn and I felt better… Wierd huh? On August 24, 2007.
What price – Academic Freedom? | Pastor Tom Types
https://pastortomtypes.wordpress.com/2007/09/25/what-price-academic-freedom
Musings from a pastor trying to keep up with technology. September 25, 2007. What price – Academic Freedom? So, when I see the President of Columbia University standing his ground on international television I think it somewhat lacking in integrity and truth. At best it is hypocritical. At worst it is extremely dangerous to our very national security. Why is it so dangerous? Laquo; I’m going to Quito to see Andrea. Sabbatical and Blurred Vision. Man, controversial debates/talks are so exciteing! Mr Ahmad...

We are just about at the halfway point of the semester, and let me just tell you how sad that makes me feel! It is bizarre when all of my friends at home are just beginning theirs. 8230;My life abroad. September 10, 2008. 8212; Andrea @ 12:42 pm. Well folks, I have survived my journey to central Australia! On the way there we tried to make a stop in the Blue Mountains, which sit an hour or two outside of Sydney. Unfortunately, it was so foggy you couldn’t see anything at the lookout point. Oh well. The trip took pretty much all day via charter bus, but we watched some Australian films and I listened to an audiobook (i’m cool like that). Another week goes by. September 2, 2008.
What a happy life!: April 2009
http://jamiecbass.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
What a happy life! Thursday, April 30, 2009. I'll kick you birds. Sunday, April 12, 2009. When Tony's parents were here visiting we had a great time. We did so much and just enjoyed it all very much. My favorite memory was the dinner we had in Athens in the evening looking at the Acropolis all lit up. While we were there I was asking the kids the only question they can answer in Greek. Can you figure out what it is? What the boys are doing now. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ill kick you birds.
What a happy life!: June 2009
http://jamiecbass.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
What a happy life! Monday, June 29, 2009. The other night we read about Hannah. When we got to the part about Hannah giving Samuel to Eli. Brady cried. We tried to explain it to him how Eli became like his dad and reassure him that he wasn't going to live with an old scary priest but there was no consoling him. He was just so upset that Samuel didn't get to live with his mommy. His heart is so precious and tender, and he feels things so strongly. It was so funny and caught me off guard.

What a happy life! Thursday, August 14, 2008. It's Getting Hot in Here. We have been staying at the Kope's house in Florida. For a week and we've been having a great time. They have a beautiful house and a fantastic pool. However today was unforgettable for one specific reason. Tony was at a meeting with Chet and Janene was picking up Eli from surf camp, I was home getting stuff ready for dinner while my boys were taking a nap, (in essence I was home alone). And what was he doing? Thursday, August 7, 2008.

The Dream Factory
Where ideas can be given room to grow. April 13, 2018. How Big Is Big? How big is big? How vast is the sum of countless unknowns? How incalculable is this universe we call home? How small we are? Thank you, friend Carol, for sharing this and so many wonderful postings on physics, astronomy, and the sciences. My philosophical and theological friends can get a lot of mileage out of this video - but hopefully not before simply experiencing the awe that it demands. Sagan asks, Who are we? April 12, 2018.

So be encouraged - your life has great meaning. Yes, God has purpose for everyone He has created. Meditate on the following words from Psalm 139:13-18a: "You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Just Tom | Thoughts, impressions, stirrings of the Spirit from Pastor Tom
Thoughts, impressions, stirrings of the Spirit from Pastor Tom. August 11, 2015. Thought For The Week August 16, 2015. When Jesus came preaching the good news of His salvation, one of the hallmarks of His ministry was healing of many who were sick, disabled, and even, demon possessed. He had the power to reverse incurable situations such as leprosy, deformed limbs, and, on more than one occasion, bring back someone who had died (i.e. Lazarus in John 11). Matthew 10:5-8). Further, Jesus told His follo...

Primeiro selo o cavalo branco. Dizem que o ...
