Pat and I had a great time on our recent cruise during the first week of March. We spent a 7 day cruise with stops in the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. We cruised on the Carnival Dream, the company's newest and biggest ship. 4200 passengers; 1500 employees. Here we are at the huge Atlantis Resort in Nassau. Strolling through St. Thomas.

Sunday, September 26, 2010. Camp Creek - Zion National Park. What does that have to do with this hike? Well, I've tried to get a permit for The Subway on three different occasions, and guess what? How's this for a chute! We saw some amazing formations! The Narrows - Camp Creek style. (without the water). Sunday, November 14, 2010. We had the great fortune of spending a week on the Big Island of Hawaii in October. Our friends the Pugmire's were at their condo in downtown Kona. We stayed in a really nice condo about 6 miles south of Kona. Some of you have been there, but for the benefit of the rest I am posting some pictures (we took dozens) that show the variety that this great island has to offer. With the Pugmire's at a very old "Painted Church". The priest took years to paint murals on the inside.

Monday, May 23, 2011. Ogden Marathon May 2011. Tessa and Bryan, Heather and Tom, and Me decided to try our hand at the Ogden Marathon this year. The weather was beautiful (for a change) and the scenery was equally so. I ran the Half and the rest did the Team Relay although many ran much further than their leg. It lived up to the hype. It's less than 2 miles to the top of that mountain (from the Zion Lodge parking lot), but you climb 2,675 feet in that short distance. And I do mean climb. Perfect weather, great company, and one of the most beautiful places on earth made for a terrific climb up the Middle Teton. Trailhead: Lupine Meadows (elevation 6,800). Thursday, June 26, 2014. We owe a huge THANKS! To the Dalpias family for planning and inviting us to tag along on a super fun climbing trip to City of Rocks. Over Memorial Day weekend. I hadn't been climbing in City of Rocks since high school, and I had forgotten what a beautiful, unique place it is. The kids loved running around the granite rocks with their friends and cousins.. It was sooo pretty! As were my lovely ladies. And we had a big group with lots of great friends and family. Cute, but crazy.
