Introducing My Team | IV Point Play
https://ivpointplay.wordpress.com/2010/04/26/introducing-my-team
April 26, 2010. Basketball is a five man game. As much as you have superstars and lead players, you need five guys working as one unit out there to get the wins. LeBron can’t get triple-doubles if he’s got no Mo Williams open in the corner for the open jumper. So, to help me keep this blog running, I’ve made a few trades and signed some free agents. Let me introduce my team. AAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDDD NOOOOWWWWWW… The starting line-up for your IV Point Play Blog! Baka kumain ka ng siko. Fill in your detail...

Boys Who Play Like Men | IV Point Play
https://ivpointplay.wordpress.com/2010/05/04/boys-who-play-like-men
Boys Who Play Like Men. Boys Who Play Like Men. May 4, 2010. When I first heard of the news that the Nokia RP U-18 team was joining the FilOil Flying V Cup, I thought that it would be a good exposure for the team. I thought they were capable of getting a couple of wins against the weaker teams but would lose to most, if not all, of the higher ranked teams. Kawawa naman yung mga bata, Baste agad yung kalaban. The Stags were leading by 10 with a little over three minutes left in the fourth period but the y...

Behind The Line | IV Point Play
https://ivpointplay.wordpress.com/behindtheline
A high powered offense turns me on. Give me Phil Jackson’s (and Tim Cone’s) Triangle Offense, Steve Nash’s SSOL and Rick Adelman’s Princeton Offense and you’ve got me hooked. I enjoy watching efficient offense being run by the best players in the world. A well run offensive set shows just how beautiful, simple and easy basketball can be. Why “IV POINT PLAY? Ask the 1999 New York Knicks. I want to make this blog as simple and as fun as a well-executed pick-and-roll play. But hopefully, it changes the ...

How Purefoods did it | IV Point Play
https://ivpointplay.wordpress.com/2010/03/04/how-purefoods-did-it
How Purefoods did it. How Purefoods did it. March 4, 2010. Well, that was unexpected. In a series that many experts (and bloggers) felt would be a long and grueling marathon of 7 games rather than a sprint, Purefoods took care of their business, dealing the crushing blow vs Alaska to sweep their best of 7 series, 4-0. But all for naught, as the Aces buckled under the pressure (again), missed key freethrows (again), played soft defense on an agressive Giants team (again), and fell by the wayside (again).

Early UAAP/NCAA thoughts | IV Point Play
https://ivpointplay.wordpress.com/2010/04/28/early-uaapncaa-thoughts
April 28, 2010. School just ended. What the hell am I thinking writing about Philippine College Basketball? Well, I’m getting my blogging feet back under me and I guess I should start with a topic that I’m most familiar with. Besides, I don’t want to write about the NBA Playoffs when I clearly have no skills in predicting winners. The UE Red Warriors will have the most dynamic and probably the highest scoring back court tandem in Paul Lee and James Martinez. This team is DEEP. Besides having Gilas pl...
