I've been ill for the past couple of weeks with a really bad cold and chest infection so I haven't done any baking or picked up my camera since, until today. Im almost better now, so last night I done some baking and made my first ever Bakewell Tart. Its made with sweet shortcrust pastry, raspberry jam and frangipane filling. It tastes absolutely gorgeous! If you love Bakewell Tarts this recipe is a must to try. Location: Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, UK.

Saturday, 5 May 2012. Beautiful sunny day today! I forgot what a blue sky looked like after all the rain we've had. We've been spending the day doing a bit of gardening with cake and tea breaks inbetween :) The lettuce seeds that I planted about 3 weeks ago are starting to do well and I'm looking forward to when they are ready to eat. The packet of seeds I bought said mixed variety, but these seedling all look the same! I hope they are mixed, fingers crossed. 24 March 2016 at 02:12. Blog of the day.
