Sew, ray, me: A handmade gift
http://www.sewrayme.co.uk/2015/03/a-handmade-gift.html
Sunday, 22 March 2015. I can't believe a week has passed since Mothers Day, and what a day it was. I hope yours was more restful than mine - 6 loads of washing ( yes 6! After my 5 year old was up sick most of Saturday night. I did, however, receive some lovely gifts -. A massive bunch of Roses and this cute bunny from Lush filled with amazing smelling bath products. I've left it in this same spot in the sitting room all week as it's making the room smell gorgeous! I was very pleased with this! The simple...

Sew, ray, me: A taste of Spring
http://www.sewrayme.co.uk/2015/03/a-taste-of-spring.html
Sunday, 22 March 2015. A taste of Spring. How refreshing to finally see some bursts of colour outdoors, Spring has sprung! I have finally had the motivation to go outside and clear the garden of it's brown carpet (leaves, dead weeds, stalks from long gone flowers.). Wrapped up warm in the crisp sunshine, it has literally been a breath of fresh air to be outdoors! Woodland walks have been spent ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the abundance of Snowdrops. And splashes of bright, cheery pink in the garden. Div align=...

Sew, ray, me: August 2013
http://www.sewrayme.co.uk/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 23 August 2013. New design crochet hook rolls. Thank you for all of your lovely comments about my newly designed blog. Seems you all like it as much as I do :). I also mentioned that I had been working on giving some products a new look. My crochet hook rolls. Are one of my most popular products but I keep seeing very similar ones appearing from other sewers so I decided it was time to freshen up some of my old designs and make them a little different from the others that are on offer. Saffy is a...

Billy Button Design: September 2014
http://billybuttondesign.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 26, 2014. I got a Jelly Roll in the mail one day after an order went missing in the mail.I don't really buy jelly rolls but I thought it was probably the best time to try a basic Log cabin block. Now again, I know some of you are saying 'um Erin we have seen these before, didn't we? And 'Gosh do you not have anything new to show us? No real love for this quilt, and think next time I will use log cabins I will try the wobbly look. But no rest, I have another ready to be tackled next week.

Made by Frederica: Lime twist with a twist finished
http://sewingnaaien.blogspot.com/2015/06/lime-twist-with-twist-finished.html
Friday, 19 June 2015. Lime twist with a twist finished. I finally have this one finished. I was finished end of April but I had quilted it using a blue green colour. It didn't work for me. The colour had to go. I spent a fun day with a seam ripper and quilted it again. This time I used cream. Much Much better. It blends in with the scooter fabric. So much happier. Made by Frederica: "Lime Twist" with a Twist.
http://sewingnaaien.blogspot.com/2015/04/lime-twist-with-twist.html
Monday, 13 April 2015. Lime Twist" with a Twist. I decided to make the Lime Twist quilt from Quilt Now issue 6. Except as 2015 is the year of the stash reduction I am using fabrics I already had. I had this pile of fabric already together wit the scooter fabric as background but never quite decide what to make. Well now I have. All that talk about not adding to the stash was forgotten. This will make a great boy quilt. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Blogs I like to read. Film In The Fridge. Where th...

Just-Do: Purple
http://madebydo.blogspot.com/2015/06/purple.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. A couple of weeks ago I got a new camera. A wonderful piece of technology with a lot more possibilities than my previous camera. It is still a compact camera, not a large dslr because I want to carry it with me a lot of the time: a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000. Because I want to learn how to use it properly, I’ve been making pictures almost every day; making mistakes all of the time, trying to analyse what mistake I actually made and well, … making them all over again. Notes on a Fai...

Just-Do: A little bit of everything
http://madebydo.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-little-bit-of-everything.html
Friday, May 22, 2015. A little bit of everything. Quite a pile of books, isn’t it? These are the books I read since my last post, and I didn’t read any more than usual. It just has been so long ago. Nothing really happened, just life; work, study, family, dog, holiday, books, museums/exhibitions and a bit of crochet every day. So I guess I’ll just kind of randomly show bits and pieces of these last few months, hoping I can get back to a normal number of 1 or 2 posts a week. Just 2 of my favorites:. Then,...

Just-Do: A fun week
http://madebydo.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-fun-week.html
Monday, March 9, 2015. And again it has taken me much longer than I wanted, before this post is written. These days have been filled with so many different activities that I just don’t know where to begin. I think I just write about a few of them, the ones that stand out. Of course I spent a lot of time studying, and in between I managed to make a new dress. Remember the fabric I showed in my previous post? Very simple, a dress with a box pleat, a square neck line and long sleeves. It is very airy. 2 Rou...
