Buggeryville: The Redundancies
http://buggeryville.blogspot.com/2008/06/redundancies.html
Good luck in poetry.". Posted by Chris at 2:09 AM. So speaking of " I Love Mondays! Is the text of the first time I read there, in January 2006. Attendance was mandatory. I read a poem for each person in the audience (in my twelve-minute slot). If I knew someone was going to be there, I wrote a poem specifically for them; there were several unassigned poems that turned out to have been written specifically for unexpected audience members. You can download a pdf of The Redundancies. This is a "poetry blog".
Buggeryville: I have been in Canada awhile, apparently
http://buggeryville.blogspot.com/2010/01/i-have-been-in-canada-awhile-apparently.html
Good luck in poetry.". I have been in Canada awhile, apparently. Posted by Chris at 7:55 PM. Still reading Prismatic Publics. The book is set up with long, in-depth, in-person interviews, followed by short selections of poems by the author. Actually, the selections of poems are about as long, pages-wise, as the interviews are, but poems just have fewer words per page. During M. NourbeSe Philip's interview, she mentions a reading she gave at the Scream - a reading that I was at. Have I been here that long?
Buggeryville: Roussel revived
http://buggeryville.blogspot.com/2009/06/roussel-revived.html
Good luck in poetry.". Posted by Chris at 9:50 PM. So last Saturday I participated in this event. Which, in theory, was making some connections between the life and work of Raymond Roussel. And in particular his novel Locus Solus. And the Watermill Center. S monumental mansion-cum-gallery-cum-residency in Southampton. The rule for making art, becoming " la règle de lard. The ruler for measuring things made out of bacon.). Well, for various reasons, this idea got nixed. Locus Solus: It is an odd book.

Good luck in poetry.". Like a house on fire. Posted by Chris at 6:10 PM. Sent a bunch of people a draft of a response to a translation of a poem by Heinrich Heine. And asked that they finish it up as they saw fit. My spit-shine job is available here. But do go check out all the responses. And how or if they play against each other. Buggeryville: How do I love lists? Let me count the ways
http://buggeryville.blogspot.com/2009/07/how-do-i-love-lists-let-me-count-ways.html
Good luck in poetry.". How do I love lists? Let me count the ways. Posted by Chris at 12:39 PM. The Scream has begun. I missed the first night's event, but last night there was an opening for a visual poem art show and an event celebrating the catalogue poem. You can check out the visual poetry over at Type. On Queen for the duration of the festival. But the catalogue event is now over, lost to time. And Valerie Solanas's list of acceptable and unacceptable men from the SCUM Manifesto. And then a few peo...
fictionally: Civil Elegies
http://fictionally.blogspot.com/2009/07/civil-elegies.html
I write novels. I write short stories. I write this blog to talk about the process. I reserve the right to ramble on about anything I feel like. Saturday, July 11, 2009. On Friday, July 10th, I went to hear Canadian poet Dennis Lee. Read his 1972 work, Civil Elegies. As part of The Scream Literary Festival. At the event, If Hope Disorders Words. Lee read Civil Elegies in its entirety (and it was the first time he had publicly done so - or maybe the first time since its original publication - I'm not sure).

fictionally: The Days Grow Short

I write novels. I write short stories. I write this blog to talk about the process. I reserve the right to ramble on about anything I feel like. Sunday, September 20, 2009. The Days Grow Short. So, it's September. Sorry for the silence all of August. August took some unexpected turns and vanished. I'm re-reading "Disgrace" by Coetzee for school. It's not fun, but it's forcing me to read it with a more analytical eye, which is great. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Research: Psychology for Writers.
Buggeryville: Screaming in the distance
http://buggeryville.blogspot.com/2009/07/screaming-in-distance.html
Good luck in poetry.". Screaming in the distance. Posted by Chris at 10:05 AM. Is right around the corner - as in, it starts tomorrow - and you can go check out the schedule of events. You don't need me to tell you what to see. I'll be at many of the events, and so say hi when you see me. There will be two events in particular that I'll be out, because I'll be doing something in them. I'll be part of Bill Kennedy's choir of list-reciters. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Patchy's Planet
Luni, 11 februarie 2013. Rich Man, Poor Woman. Labels: Rich Man Poor Woman. Mă găsiţi şi aici.

Patchy The Peg Legged Penguin Pirate | All For One
Patchy The Peg Legged Penguin Pirate. This town used to be a blue collar retreat – the “un hampton”. The surf is great, and I actually blame the surfers a little bit for this change. It started with the infamous Surf Lodge. That’s what brought all the party animals out here because the Lodge was bringing in some pretty cool names to play free concerts. Moby anyone? In an intimate setting? Yeah, that’s what started it all. Then of course surfing is cool now. August 24, 2013. News For The Rest Of Us. Repor...
