http://bettydobson.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
InkSpotting: Writing, life and the writing life. Thursday, December 31, 2009. I don't do New Year's resolutions anymore. In my experience, they don't have the staying power to see you through a month, let alone a full year. So you won't hear me vowing to lose weight or exercise more- at least not on January 1st. What I will do is declare my business goals for 2010. By making them public, I make myself accountable for honouring them and increase my chances of meeting them by the end of the year.

The Roving Genealogist: Getting in Synch
http://rovinggenealogist.blogspot.com/2012/02/getting-in-synch.html
Thursday, February 2, 2012. I recently upgraded to Family Tree Maker 2012, which allows me to synch up with the tree I store on Ancestry.com. It's only been a few days, but I already appreciate the feature. Not only do the two "versions" match, but the synching also covers photos. With older versions of FTM, I could download a gedcom from Ancestry.com, but that wouldn't incorporate any of the photos (have thousands) that I've either found on the site or uploaded myself.
