Specifying proteins in the pathway

http://www.pathblast.org/docs/seq_output_name.html

Specifying proteins in the pathway. You can input either a Protein ID. For each of your proteins. If you choose to use Protein ID. Need to fill in the Protein Sequence field. Your Protein ID will be used to automatically retrieve the protein sequence and label your protein in the graphical overview. If you choose to use Protein Sequence. It will be used for the query and a name for the sequence will be assigned (e.g. "A"). If you enter both, the sequence.

PathBlast Overview

http://www.pathblast.org/docs/faq.html

December 20, 2005. PathBlast is general strategy for aligning two protein interaction networks to elucidate their conserved pathways. This method identifies pairs of interaction paths, drawn from the networks of different species or from different processes within a species, where proteins at equivalent path positions share strong sequence homology. What can I search against? With what can I query? That describe different aspects of PathBLAST. Can I download PathBLAST? Help, PathBLAST returned an error!

Target Organism Networks

http://www.pathblast.org/docs/target_organism.html

The target organisms currently available are listed in the drop down menu on the main page. The networks available are from the DIP. Database. The organisms presented were chosen because they represent large networks that are likely to return a resulting path. The DIP database includes many small networks that have not been included. If an organism that you'd like to search against is missing, let us know.

Protein Sequence Format

http://www.pathblast.org/docs/sequence_format.html

A sequence in FASTA format begins with a single-line description, followed by lines of sequence data. The description line is distinguished from the sequence data by a greater-than (" ") symbol in the first column. It is recommended that all lines of text be shorter than 80 characters in length. An example sequencein FASTA format is:. This may be just lines of sequence data, without the FASTA definition line, e.g.:.
