At that time, Deborah would have been a prophetess in Israel and ancient Egypt would have been the superpower. That was also when this gnarled tree, now carved, chiseled and sculpted by wind and time was born. Today, it still clings to life in a tiny forest scattered among other very old bristlecone pines, high above the Great Basin at Great Basin National Park in Nevada.
