A little about the journey. The path unwinding…. Journey through life and Africa. Laquo; Passport to Paradise! November 7, 2011 by Alexandra Crosson. The Swahili words, “Tutaonana Kenya,” meaning “until we meet again Kenya,” are the story of my time in Kenya. I have come as an intern for 9 weeks, come as a fellow for 9 months, and returned again for three months. I seem to always find my way back to Kenya……. Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!

My life as a chicken farmer in Kenya. November 7, 2011. Alex and I have decided to move up our flight home, because of recent events on the Somali-Kenya boarder. It was a tough decision to leave Kenya abruptly, but we were able to say goodbye to everyone and see the lasting impact our time here has created. 8220;A young girl was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back int...

Why Africa? | Kuku for Kenya
https://kukuforkenya.wordpress.com/why-africa
My life as a chicken farmer in Kenya. The symptoms are extraordinary. Your life will never be the same again. Those of us born here inherit the condition involuntarily. There is no escape, no known remedy. Others who come here, with few exceptions cannot resist the infection. This something is the mystique of Africa and the malady to which you have succumbed is what was called mal d’Afrika by the Latins many centuries ago. These days the French call it mal d’Afrique. The key to the answer is balance....

My life as a chicken farmer in Kenya. Somethin’ bout the South. November 1, 2011. Each time I get ready to leave Florida for an adventure, my mom and I stand looking out over the water. While we watch the sunset, I wait for her to ask her favorite question: “Why would you ever want to leave? We live in the most beautiful place in the world! Our Zimbabwean adventure ended with a free bump up to first class where we cruised to our final stop, Cape Town. November 1, 2011 at 7:50 pm. Thanks so much anne!

While talking to Masika’s brother, Magongo, we discovered that parts of Kayafungo use to have running water and fresh water taps! As my blog title probably makes clear, I’ve always been ‘into’ computers. I like them, I like what they can do, and I’ve always been fascinated with them. Strong in the Broken Places | Battling Depression Day-to-Day
Strong in the Broken Places. Day 1 of 21 Day Experiment. September 18, 2013. Saw a “TED Talk” video the other day and thought I would test the concept. For 21 days, I am going to attempt five tasks to change my way of looking at things. Sounds simplistic, but made sense to me, so here goes day one. Three things for which I am thankful:. 1) My wife has the temperament to deal with me and my issues. 2) My dog, now five years old, has turned out so well behaved and social. Do Some Type of Excercise. I serve...
