S first ever AP, was the DWL-1000AP, attached to a Lucent made 10 dBi. Omni antenna (vertical pol.). You can easily modify the DWL-1000AP by following this link. Schematics are available for the DWL-1000AP. Here is how our (major) modification and outdoor housing looks like. Several devices have been tested over the past 18 months.
