She has participated in art fairs, group shows and been published in international artist books, publications and exhibition catalogues. She was a presenter at the recent 7. International Encaustic Conferences with her talks on safety practices in the encaustic studio. Patricia also recently received an award for her painting Stormy at the 85th Annual Phillips Mill Art Exhibition. Her work can be found in private collections in the US.

My current work is in encaustic painting and working with wax in mixed media. I am working with encaustic media because it allows me to explore colors and textures, excavate back into previous layers and really exploit the versatility of the medium. My painting explores colors and patterns reflected in the exposed surface or hidden in the interior natural environment, whether literal, or suggested.

Collision: Where ideas and art meet. Sunday, September 29, 2013. Maine Coast Encaustic Workshop Retreat. The last week of August and the third week of September I had the privilege of working with 40 students who traveled to Kennebunkport from as far away as Key West and California to spend a week. Learning, relaxing, socializing, practicing yoga, being inspired and nourished both creatively and gastronomically.
