Sunday, August 24, 2008. First Day in Morocco. Right now I’m in one of the coolest houses I’ve ever seen. There is really beautiful tile everywhere! There is one main room connected to all the surrounding rooms by traditional horseshoe shaped arches. The whole center room has no roof and is open to the air. All the rooms are furnished with couches and pillows that are decorated as beautifully as the tile everywhere else. I’m in. And staying with a middle class family, something that is becoming rarer here.

Saturday, February 14, 2009. 2nd to last day of classes! After our second to last day of classes was over, LaShe, Kristina and I spent the afternoon having a picnic in Retiro park. Afterwards, I met up with Sabrina to tour the Royal Palace! The Palacio Real is one of the most ornate and luxurious palaces in Europe.
