Wenige Jahre nach ihrem Studium als Produkt- und Industriedesignerin an der FHNW Nordwestschweiz hat Patrizia Keller Mitte 2014 ihr eigenes Studio gegründet, in dem sie Möbel, Wohnaccessoires und Schmuck entwirft. Dabei arbeitet sie mit natürlichen Materialien wie Holz und Filz. Durch die bewusste Materialwahl, abgestimmte Farbkombinationen und clevere Funktionen möchte sie zur heutigen Schnelllebigkeit ein Gegengewicht schaffen und mit ihren Entwürfen einen individuellen Rückzugsort bilden.

Abfallstelle für das urbane Büro. Die zunehmende Urbanisierung führt den arbeitstätigen Menschen über den Mittag in den Supermarkt oder nahegelegenen Take Away. Ins Büro gebracht wird das Mittagessen dann oft in den weissen Plastiksäcken ab der Rolle. Danach landen die Reste mitsamt dem Säckchen im Abfall. Rund 8 Millionen Tonnen langlebiger Plastik gelangen jährlich ins Meer. Pro Kopf werden 128 Plastiksäcke im Jahr verbraucht. Ein Plastiksack wird durchschnittlich 25 Minuten benutzt. 240 x 300 x 400 mm.

Entstand aus einem Experiment heraus, Gips mit einer Papieroptik zu versehen. Dabei spielt das Abdruckmaterial eine grosse Rolle. Obwohl dieses bewusst ausgewählt wird, wird das schlussendliche Muster dem Zufall überlassen. Somit wird jede Schale zu einem Unikat. Die äussere Oberfläche der Schale ist ein überraschendes Spiel, während die Innenseite sehr bewusst mit goldenem Schlagmetall verkleidet wird, um so eine künstliche Optik als Kontrast zur Aussenseite zu. Gips, Schlagmetall gold. Ø 270 x 120 m.

Natalia Wohler represents her place of birth in photographs and reproduces reality whereas Patrizia paints her imagination of the no yet visited but spellbinding destination in acrylic. Rubbish station for the urban office. The more and more increasing urbanization drives working people to the supermarket or to a nearby take away for lunchtime. They take the meal along to the office in the typical white plastic bags from the reel. Afterwards the leftovers end up in the trash together with the plastic bag. About 8 millions of tons long-lasting plastic material gets into the sea each year. 128 plastic bags are consumed per head in one year. On average a plastic bag is used for 25 minutes.
