It is a challenge to capture something so fleeting. In this painting I focused on the emotional response to those last precious minutes of the evening. Friday, February 13, 2009. Who would have thought that this painting, which I put into "time out" because I thought it was too bold, would end up becoming so popular? Both of my children are claiming it, so I have had giclees made to appease them, and it was selected for a national exhibit (Oklahoma Art Guild's. Friday, April 30, 2010. The flowers were just beginnning to bloom at Mt. Scott last weekend. They will start to open in abundance in the coming weeks. I could see coreopsis stalks throughout the fields. After this rainy weekend, the flowers should be in full show. It was a good time for the Indian Paintbrush last weekend.
