Pat's Place of Grace. Friday, January 25, 2008. It's been over a week since I have even looked at blogs. How do we get so busy? Yesterday was Share, our local food pantry where I volunteer on Thursdays for four hours. I had written a grant for them and we got back word that it was denied. It was to cover dental expenses to remove abscessed teeth and to pay for prescription drugs for those who could not afford them—also glasses for those needing them. You do a lot! Monday, July 7, 2008. For the first time ever, I actually watched the whole 4th of July parade from a chair in front of Pat's Place dirt! It was a little strange to walk through the dirt that used to be Pat's Place. It was a great parade. It was even better not to have to worry about working. Thank goodness for the rain we have been having. Anything that reduces the risk of forest fires is welcome. It looks like it's supposed to rain the rest of the week. You won't find me complaining.
