Pattern Cutters/Drafters' Journal

I normally just lurk but have been hit with a problem with drafting and thought you lovely people might be able to help! I've self drafted a fitted coat, which when standing still, looks perfect. The sleeve lines are where they should be, the back sits perfectly, the actual sleeve looks how I want. The problem is when I go to move my arms. I can't reach forward or up very far. Hi, I'm new to this community. I've been sewing for many years, and I've altered patterns, but I've never drawn patterns starting from scratch. Can someone please tell me what kind of software I would use to draw a pattern so that I could save as a PDF file. In other words, let's say I want to upload a free pattern to share?
