Coastal Califorina was a great place to grow up; although as I got older (and could drive) I spent more and more time in the Sierras. After college, I stumbled into a career in the sporting goods/outdoor industry and have spent 30 years helping grow brands. I spend most of my spare time in the mountains of Colorado; hiking, flyfishing and backpacking. Overlanding,Flyfishing, drawing, reading, hiking, cyclocross.

Flyfishing in the Rocky Mountains. We had a blast fishing; interrupted by only one or two hikers passing through; one authoritatively announcing There isn’t enough water in there for fish . A second later a nice 10 brook trout took the fly with a loud splashMr. Fishing Expert wordlessly walked away. The fishing was so good, I became focused on the water; and we walked around this small alpine valley peering into the water looking for the tell-tale moving shadow of a trout in his feeding lane.
