Its My Life and Ill Blog if I Want To! The Surreal Life of Sarah Darer Littman. May 15th, 2011 at 4:39 PM. I am not a NYT best-selling writer. While my books have won awards and made lists, when it comes to publishing, I'm "mid-list". Sure, I hope that some day I will "break out" into the big time. There have been plenty of difficult and frustrating moments when I've thought "If I only could be inspired write about vampires/wolves/faeries/paranormal romance". LIFE, AFTER is my quietest book to date. ...

Bubbles between books - Rose Green

Apr 13th, 2016 at 11:41 AM. In the meantime, Im trying to let my subconscious swirl around and see what it wants to do next- finish off one of the partials I have (and if so, which one? Or start something new from whole cloth. Its kind of a delicious feeling, to be honest. I know Im going to be busy soon enough (were moving at the end of May), but it just feels very weird not to be stressing about finishing this draft! 6 comments Leave a comment. Writing Notes on Brilliant Legacy - Rose Green

Writing Notes on Brilliant Legacy. Oct 26th, 2016 at 10:01 AM. 2 Family relationships are just really well done here. Its kind of part of #1. 5 Mirroring similar characters who choose different paths. I really like mirroring; it underlines thematic and character elements so well. Multiple times, you have characters whose setups are similar, but they make vastly different kinds of choices, and create themselves into very different kinds of people by the end. 4 comments Leave a comment. Zambian memories.. - another tragic victim of the Africa bug
http://vilasy.livejournal.com/306046.html
Another tragic victim of the Africa bug. May 29th, 2013 at 2:30 PM. This is an older story, but still so fresh in my mind. As we fought tooth and nail to cross the Tanzania/Zambia border, it occured to me that we didn't have much cash. A check showed $20 and 100 Rand (about $12) - so we asked if there was a standard bank across the border. Oh yes, came the reply, ATM is right over there on the Zambian side. Lovely. Oh, I couldn't possibly! Oh, this steak is too heavenly! 4 comments Leave a comment. I hav...

Views from a Window Seat. Views from a Window Seat: Thoughts on Writing and Life. After a few weeks of ripping open envelopes to find book proofs that were just a bit off, and had to be tweaked, on Saturday morning the fourth sample copy was waiting at the post office, and this time the cover looked right. Through summer and fall, I’d been following the instructions offered on CreateSpace to publish VIEWS FROM A WINDOW SEAT: THOUGHTS ON WRITING AND LIFE. Really. No more buttons to push. Yikes I mean Yay!

In Defense of Water - Annan Dum

In Defense of Water - Annan Dum. 26 January 2013 @ 08:32 am. In Defense of Water. Setting: hunched protectively over a drinking fountain. Now what works for one person will not work for everyone, but heres what I discovered about me and water:. 1) I lost weight without doing anything else differently, about 4 lbs in fact. 2) My acne all but disappeared (which, for a teenager, is a big deal). 3) I had more energy. Generally I nodded politely and then went back to drinking my clean, lightly fluoridated and...
