Patty's Project Ideas

Monday, April 30, 2012. Working at a preschool, I see some of the cutest drawings. Kids have a real imagination! This is definitely not a preschool project but may be fun for more of the middle schoolers. One of the little girls in our class brought in a drawing she had made at home and wanted us to hang it up. When I asked if it was for me, she immediately said no it was for Miss Keri! She is such a stinker! Here is her original drawing. Side by side comparison. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Patty's Project Ideas: Life Cycle Butterfly Part 4

http://pattysprojectideas.blogspot.com/2012/04/life-cycle-butterfly-part-4.html

Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Life Cycle Butterfly Part 4. Finally the butterfly has emerged from the cocoon to flash it's brilliance to the world! 11"x17" construction paper in white and black. Paint in yellow, red and white. Small paint brush, or fingers, q-tip etc. First thing you want to do is create a template. If you are doing this for a class, you must do the template. It's easier to draw one half and cut it out so that it is the same on each side! Once the orange parts are done, squirt a little white ...

Patty's Project Ideas: Life Cycle Butterfly Part 1

http://pattysprojectideas.blogspot.com/2012/04/life-cycle-butterfly-part-1.html

Friday, April 6, 2012. Life Cycle Butterfly Part 1. There will be 4 parts to this project. This first part is the start of the cycle with the eggs being laid on the leaves. 1 piece 11" x 17" green construction paper. Tissue paper in white, yellow or light green. Fold the paper in half and then freehand draw a large leaf onto the paper. You will need a leaf for this part and for part two so I will cut both at the same time and save time and energy. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Life Cycle Butterfly Part 3. Wow life is getting crazy busy! Need to get our butterfly project going since they will be here soon! The third stage of the butterfly is the cocoon. 1 11"x17" piece of light green construction paper (I used gray). 1 85"x11" piece of black construction paper. Paint in red, yellow and white. Pencil or colored pencil in white or yellow. Now the fun part! Now add a little bit of white onto the tray. Dipping in a pinky finger for our size and a presch...

Patty's Project Ideas: Planet Project part 1

http://pattysprojectideas.blogspot.com/2012/03/planet-project-part-1.html

Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Planet Project part 1. There are a few steps to this project and can be used for any grade level. I will have to break it up to two posts so that it will all fit! 1 large sheet of heavy mylar. 11 x 17 sheets of white and black construction paper. Paint - blue, green, yellow, red and brown. Yellow or white colored pencil. On your piece of mylar (or you can use plexiglass, or your table) squirt on green and blue paints. I had two different blues so decided to try both. Now you will...

Patty's Pretty Things

Monday, August 5, 2013. About a month ago, I decided that I was tired of looking at our front door. I hopped on the painted front door wagon after a quick chat with the hubby. He's colorblind, so he decided to trust me - our door needed painting anyways, and he approved of my choice. Here's the "before" picture. This was taken several years ago, but the front of the house looks essentially the same. Here is the "after! I didn't get across the street because there was too much glare, but I really love it!

2009 One Day at a Time | Project 365

2009 One Day at a Time. January 29, 2009. Posted by Patty in Project 365. 1 comment so far. In all the kerfluffle of getting yesterdays “catch up” post done (which took half the day, and at least 4 clicks on the “save draft” button ;). I completely forgot to actually post. I think posting to this blog has taken on greater meaning for me, beyond sharing my take on P365 with the world. I am getting backed up already, and without this blog as a reference, I’d be totally lost! Sadly, that has happened before).

Patty's Psoriasis Blog

Saturday, January 10, 2009. Finally after years of struggling with Psoriasis and spending over $6000 I found a simple solution that solved my problem. Hi, my name’s Patty. I put this blog up to help fellow psoriasis sufferers. I know what it’s like to go through the hell of living with psoriasis and no one should have to go through that. 8221; My parents told me that my skin changing was just a normal part of life. I had no idea that my skin condition was actually psoriasis until I saw a doctor at age 23.
