Near the end of our walk, once the sun went down, we went back to the hostel for dinner. Another notable experience I had at turn 12, near the end of the session, was the witness of a sea gull getting rocked by the pace car. I mean he got absolutely smacked. It was like Tom hitting Jerry with the frying pan. There was probably a relief of the bird’s head imprinted into the front bumper. As the hour long session progressed I got a first hand look at how quickly the weather can change in this part of the country. I’d shoot for about 10 minutes, look up and there would be progressively less and less blue and more and more grey.
