Our team name was Cool Runnings, and we went with a Jamaican theme. We got to stop and eat some awesome pizza in Karoosharm. It really was delicious. I have such fond memories of the day when I was a child. It think it's great that I get to keep those same traditions as an adult and let my kids enjoy them too. We spent the parade hanging out on the front lawn, and trying to decide if it was worth it to sit in the sun on the sidewalk (to get the candy). It was sure bright in the sun. We were able to meet up with Karyn and Richard and their family when they came on a family vacation to southern Utah. I was so excited. I definitely do not to spend enough time with Karyn. I miss her tons. Both families ran a little later that we had planned, but it worked out just fine. This was the first time we took Ethan out on the kayak, and he loved it.
