Tuesday, 9 August 2011. Agnes water, Noosa and Brisbane. Why is Agnes Water one of the main stops of the greyhound bus? I'm not quite sure. What is there to see or do in Agnes Water? Why then, do people like us and many other backpackers feel compelled to jump off the bus at this particular point? We did learn to surf though. Kinda. We hired bikes and asked a lovely old lady where we could cycle, but we began to suspect a distaste of the English as we ended up pushing our bikes up a seemingly endless hill.

Monday, 18 July 2011. Magnetic island had been recomended to us by our hostel at mission beach, as the couple managing it had stayed at this resort called Bungalow Bay. The accomodation was kinda funky, but those holes at the front you can see are actually holes. Probably provides great ventilation in the summer, but winter nights are a wee bit chilly round here. Tuesday, 28 June 2011. Our second day in Melbourne we did a treetop adventure course (pretty much like GoApe). They had 4 courses, and to go on the expert course you had to have completed the intermediate course. We were told we had time to complete 2 courses, so I made Sophie start on the intermediate with me. We managed to make it through, and then I convinced her to attempt the expert course, which we had been told was "at least 3 times harder" and had minimum age of 14. It was physically exhausting!

Monday, 25 July 2011. Real quick, on timed internet. Townsville's Castle Hill We walked seemingly endless stone steps up to the summit. Found a car park at the top! Takes away the special feeling that you've hard-earnt the privilege to the amazing views. We'd beed recommended a hostel in Townsville called the Foreign Exchange, and when we checked the rates online it was $40 per person a night! So we had a search around and managed to find a website where it was advertised at $23. Monday, 18 July 2011.
