Tuesday, June 30, 2009. A very strong or irresistible impulse to travel. Summer vacation time is here. I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow. Off to picturesque New England with DH and 'traveling granddaughter'. It's where I lived for 12 years before before coming South. No Porch rocking for a week. Sun, sea oats, and the Atlantic ocean. Sunday, March 14, 2010. This is what I could have used today - a calming woodland walk! No, my weekend company (family visiting from Arizona) didn't drive me crazy, but Google certainly did! Have you experienced the same problem.trying to get Google to upload your purchased photo storage via Picasa? Monday, August 31, 2009. This past week the children around here returned to school.a sure sign that Summer is on the wane. Soon we'll be stowing away the garden furniture. Winter proofing the birdhouses and signs with a spray of wood sealant. Pushing our swimsuits to the back of the dresser drawer. Saturday, March 13, 2010. More Tempting Tulips for Pink Saturday. Tulip time has arrived and bunches of pink tulips have been airlifted from Holland to my local Trader Joe's. I found these as I shopped for other favorites such as fresh veggies and fruits, goat cheese, an artisinal French baguette, Greek yogurt, and of course some wine. I love to have them close by as I work in the kitchen. Do you know that tulip stems continue to grow when placed in water? Stop by to see Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.

I have located my albums . . including the animal rescue one . . but they're in a spot I can't get to without straining my back, so I have to wait until some unsuspecting person of the male gender comes down here so I can have him lift the box for me. See my toes (right), they were soaking up the sun and loving every moment relaxing as we circled beautiful Lake Almanor. Paula, my best friend of almost 46 years (we arrived in Washington, D.C. in 1962 and have kept in touch ever since 'altho we live on opposite coasts) and Jasmin, enjoying an evening ride. Thursday, December 31, 2009. A new day.a sad day. The huge double-trunked, dangerously leaning oak, on the side of our property was taken down on Monday.our neighbor is sighing with relief no doubt! Followed by the three large trees on each side of the driveway whose giant roots have undermined and cracked the concrete (new driveway next Spring! These I'll truly miss because the birds loved perching in them.but our cars sitting under them suffered! Anyone want to send me some trees? Bet you've seen this ...
