I can’t believe I forgot to mention the beets I bought in my last blog. When I went to the market with Julienne, I found beets. Remember than I have been living on eggs, avocado, fried food and let’s not forget ice cream. I decided that I would prepare the beets for the ladies at the store. I even had them again for lunch. It is amazing how small things can make a difference.

The sun was shining and I have a beautiful view from the Ice Cream Store. I spent a good amount of the day looking at numbers. I finally determined that “they are what they are”. I can not justify the discrepancy. I had to dye my hair today. Wouldn’t you know that this would be the day that all the lights were out! It was like old times!

Today was the day to purchase all my gifts from Rwanda. I had to wait until noon to start out because it was Umuganda until 11am and everything was closed. I enjoyed the view from the balcony of Step Town Motel and had a leisurely breakfast. It took some walking to get to the arts and crafts center. Everything will have to be carried. Yes, that is correct.
