The Twisted Mind Emporium: Short Story: Kaylie’s Smile
http://pauldarcy.blogspot.com/2005/06/short-story-kaylies-smile.html
The Twisted Mind Emporium. Welcome to Paul Darcy’s Twisted Mind Emporium. This is where I poke fun at my life as a rabid board gamer, dad, and old guy. Each post is sure to be somewhat twisted - not stirred! Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Short Story: Kaylie’s Smile. On Kaylie’s first birthday, she turned three months and one day old. Still, they had the best of intentions. Once Kaylie’s parents moved into their new home they used the containment module again, and often. What with the unpacking, sco...Kaylie&...

The Twisted Mind Emporium. Welcome to Paul Darcy’s Twisted Mind Emporium. This is where I poke fun at my life as a rabid board gamer, dad, and old guy. Each post is sure to be somewhat twisted - not stirred! Sunday, May 22, 2011. Short story: Above the Crowd. It’s been a while since I posted a short story . . . so I thought now was a good time. Ever been beat by a girl? Your male pride kicked squarely in the man parts? Someone was out to undermine his reputation. A drop of blood struck the floor. Pulling...

The Twisted Mind Emporium. Welcome to Paul Darcy’s Twisted Mind Emporium. This is where I poke fun at my life as a rabid board gamer, dad, and old guy. Each post is sure to be somewhat twisted - not stirred! Sunday, July 27, 2014. This is one of the latest small pack games I’ve bought in the last while - and it’s a good one! It plays from 3 to 8 people and takes around fifteen minutes to compete a game. Very fun, very fast, and very cut-throat - but not in a mean way. I don’t seem to have a lot of ...

The Twisted Mind Emporium. Welcome to Paul Darcy’s Twisted Mind Emporium. This is where I poke fun at my life as a rabid board gamer, dad, and old guy. Each post is sure to be somewhat twisted - not stirred! Wednesday, November 09, 2005. Short Story: Glory Days Gone By. Something you serve on toast? But something I spent a good deal of time cooking up from Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos Pantheon. This short story is no exception. Or should that be Oye, Oye! Glory Days Gone By. The Esoteric Order of Dagon was...

Snow drifting... - Grondzilla's Pontificatorium
http://grondzilla.livejournal.com/437855.html
February 18th, 2015 (11:24 pm). Another year: Day the One hundredth and seventh. So we got ourselves in order, as I mentioned, and headed out back. Conditions were very very nice and we enjoyed the quiet and 'fluffiness' of the run. The most recent snow was very light powder and as such leant all movements something of an ethereal quality as we mostly just floated over the snow. These are conditions I can endorse. Stonekettle Station (A god of political smiting). The Mimosa Effect (Writerly).

I can understand them wanting to get their photos, but after awhile it became a real nuisance. But Sati soon ignored it all and had a great time trick or treating around the neighborhood. She was definitely the cutest pumpkin in the patch. Here’s my proof:. March 29, 2012 at 2:46 am.

No one said they'd all be gems. Bob the Angry flower. A Year of Living Dangerously: Day Sixty one. The end result is that for the last few days I’ve been sitting in *situation A* looking through a dozy filter at *situation B* which is where I would actually like to be and wondering just how soon I can look forward to these two universes getting their shit together and ‘converging’. That event will make me a happy camper. A Year of Living Dangerously: Day Sixty. My mind doesn’t want to come out and play.

January 30th, 2015 (11:31 pm). Another year: Day the Eighty ninth. Yupthat has been me for the last few days. It wasn't that I didn't *want* to get around to posting in the usual fashion it's just that when the time came around my feet just headed straight to the bedroom and my brain really didn't have much to say about the process. Anyhow. Just popping by to say that I'm trying again and perhaps this time out I'll not just fade off into the void for a week or so. The Mimosa Effect (Writerly).

November 19th, 2014 forward. November 19th, 2014 (10:20 pm). Another year: Day the Seventeenth. So we made it to the next day and despite dire prognostications we haven't been over-run by the frozen hordes. We were overridden by a very large quantity of fluffy crystaline structures but that's about par for the course in Canadia any time after Halloween. As you can see here we had a clear quantity of white material on every surface that would support it. I knew you might. November 19th, 2014 forward.

Sunshine again... - Grondzilla's Pontificatorium
http://grondzilla.livejournal.com/437313.html
February 10th, 2015 (07:45 pm). Another year: Day the One hundredth. I'm glad I did. The conditions were really really exceptional with a temperature around minus five and pretty much no wind. The late evening sun was really pleasant and I had a good slide. Also, pictures! On the way out the low sun was lighting up the hillside with intense light and shadow. Unlike yesterday the ski trail was repeatedly crisscrossed by animal tracks (Click on image for a larger view). The Mimosa Effect (Writerly).

Each post is sure to be somewhat twisted - not stirred! Monday, March 27, 2017. I’ve got Claustrophobia. The game, not the condition. I’ll admit, I’m not fond of tight spaces, but this post will be all about the game not the phobia. First off, I’m going to come right out and say it - this game is visually stunning! This is a really nice touch. And the rul...
