Thursday, October 29, 2009. Bolivia - Toro Toro. Just back from a 3-day trip to Toro Toro, sub-tropical region about 5 hours drive from Cochabamba however in the state of Potosi (was translating the tour for a French couple, who serendipitously wound up on this off-road excursion.not quite what they signed up for back in Paris). Yet another example of how Bolivia should get it's sh*t together. We are drowning. Complete with a skyboard, perfect for climbing and rapelling; magnificent cascades for swimming...

Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Week 4 in Southern California. Not a lot to report. I’ve pretty much been hanging out in our home here in Malibu, mingling with the glitterati, working on my beach abs, barking orders at my butler and receiving fan mail in my mahogany-paneled study. For argument’s sake, let’s say there are 2 scenes (when really it’s so large that there’s a scene for everyone). Hat seems commonsensical, and this is certainly. Sam likes to say, "Ah, great expectations! Tax preferences aside, the OC ...

N the context of alternative medicine, the term “toxin” refers non-specifically. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. 2010: a new you. Lose weight. Exercise every day. Eat fruits and vegetables. If you're like most people, health goals top your New Year's resolutions for 2010. But historically, a month into the new year, how many of you stick to your resolutions? According to one survey of 12,000 people, about 30% of those making resolutions say they don't even keep them into February. And only about 1 in 5 actually continues for 6 months or more. What made you go to the gym? Time, or the la...

Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Metabolism is the process by which your body converts calories into the energy it needs to function, in other words the rate at which you burn the calories you consume. People often say that a slim person's metabolism “must be fast” because they are able to burn calories faster; and that an overweight person's metabolism “must be slow” because they burn calories slower. This is not necessarily the case. Your body needs energy (calories) for 3 reasons:. Body size and composition.
