Thursday, July 18, 2013. Madrid Film Festival. Sorry for poor spellong. Don't know how to change it so will repeat. I went to the Madrid Film Festival which was from July 1 through 7. The awards were given on July 6. Our movie, A COMMON MAN, won BEST FEATURE (PRODUCERS PAUL MASON, MANOHAN NAYAKKARA and RADHA KRISHNAN) BEST DIRECTOR (CHANDRAN RUTNAM) and BEST ACTOR (BEN KINGSLEY). Saturday, May 21, 2011. Working in Sri Lanka on A COMMON MAN starring Sir Ben Kingsley and Ben Cross. Footage looks terrific. This is the same team that made THE ROAD FROM ELEPHANT PASS, which has just won an award at the New York Film Festival. CREATURE (aka Bllod is Blood/Lockjaw) getting set for release in summer. COMMITTED, a remake of a movie I mademany years ago with Jennifer O'Neil was just remade for Lifetime Movie channel and aired to good audiences. Back from Sri Lanka in June and going fishing.

Saturday, February 12, 2011. Lots of good stuff for 2011.Hachi still selling lots of DVDs and has now done $45million internationally. COMMITTED, the movie we made for Lifetime Channel is finished filming. We saw the first cut and it looks very good. THE ROAD FROM ELEPHANT PASS has been accepted as a finalist in the NEW YORK FILM FESTIVAL so we will receive a finalist certificate and perhaps a medal. Not bad for a little Sri Lankan movie in Singhalease. Prepping a movie in Sri Lanka for the late Spring.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Our film THE ROAD FROM ELEPHANT PASS has been accepted at the Edinburgh Film Festival. And HACHI: A DOG'S TALE is still making audiences cry from Sri Lanka to Port Vila to Tokyo and Los Angeles. We wedre the number 1 family film last week. Very rewarding. Monday, December 26, 2011. Finishing A COMMON MAN. A COMMON MAN, our director, Chandran Rutnam, is going to London to get the ADR from Sir Ben Kingsley. We had to go to Sofia to get the ADR from Ben Cross. This is becoming a VERY international movie.:) We will mix the film in Chennai at end of January.
