Ice Climbing in New Brunswick 1/4 – Mt. Misery | Rocks in my Pockets
https://paulmaybee.wordpress.com/2010/04/28/ice-climbing-in-new-brunswick-14-–-mt- misery
Rocks in my Pockets. Photography and Adventure in The Maritimes. Ice Climbing in New Brunswick 1/4 Mt. Misery. April 28, 2010. I know it’s hard to feel any regret that winter’s on its way out with the weather we’ve been having. The snow is melting, I can see tulips waiting in the wings for that first really warm day to pop up through the soil. On the West Coast it’s been spring since long before the winter. Jan 23, 2010 – Mt. Misery, NB. I was filming on this day, so I don’t have a lot of photos...

Rocks in my Pockets. Photography and Adventure in The Maritimes. 8220;Gin Clear”: the Upsalquitch River. October 16, 2010. May 8 – 10, 2010. The dawn of a new adventure. We awoke to a beautiful sunny day, and had breakfast, which had been laid out for us by the earliest birds. Breakfast was a spectacle! The bubbling percolator was constantly being emptied and refilled, and there were oranges, pitas and hummus, and breakfast burritos. Justin provides some entertainment for the bumpy bus ride. Although thi...

Rocks in my Pockets. Photography and Adventure in The Maritimes. February 8, 2012. 8220;Crazy.”. After packing our gear on to sleds, we all strapped on skis with Bur Win bindings (which allow you to use your winter boots! And went for a warm up ski around Mactaquac. Food is so important. Food I could talk about the importance of food when winter camping for hours. I’ll just say this: Food is extremely important, especially in winter! It is the fuel that keeps the fire burning. Teamwork makes it happen.

Rocks in my Pockets. Photography and Adventure in The Maritimes. As promised, and very very late, here is the video I made last winter about Ice Climbing in New Brunswick. This was all shot in one day at Mt. Misery and was my first experience with ice climbing. Thanks to everyone who appeared in this video! I hope it helps to encourage more people to get outside in winter and experience what an incredible backyard we have here in New Brunswick! 2 Responses to “Video”. February 11, 2011 at 4:19 am.
