The sea immediately began returning the sand to where it was dredged from - destroying fragile Strombus Gigas. Giant Conch habitats in the process - but a lot has deposited on the remaining coral, stiffling and killing it. But not all is doom and gloom! Drifting over Playa del Carmen's reefs. My reef gone by, I miss it so. Saturday, 13 September 2008. But the harbour has just reopened after being closed for three days because the wind switched to blowing from the south. I will finish two Open Water. Courses on Monday, now, but I will start another tomorrow with the pool sessions. The sea is still choppy, you can see the smaller pangas bobbing up and down in the distance. Visibility is down but things, as always will improve quickly from tomorrow.
