Researching and writing about Doctor Who. 01 February, 2015. Fan Memories: Audiotape Recordings. It seems a ridiculously antiquated thing to do now, but there was a time when I recorded episodes of. As they were broadcast on television. Not on DVD-R or even VHS, but on C60 audio cassettes. In the 1980s when I was a teenager, our family didn't have a video recorder. We didn't have a colour television until 1985. Expensive luxuries - or. At least my parents considered them so. Screened in New Zealand.

Researching and writing about Doctor Who. 30 August, 2013. The latest Doctor Who Magazine. 464) has the results of 'The Best of 2012! The Books Non-Fiction category results from the 2012 Doctor Who Magazine. The Comic Strip Companion. Appears in fifth place. That's a good result, especially considering the high standard of the competition and the large number of titles my book was up against. I'm delighted that my book about a frankly rather niche subject has been so well received. Links to this post.

Researching and writing about Doctor Who. 30 August, 2014. A new Doctor Who. Podcast, may well be the first of its kind in New Zealand. Certainly it is the only locally-produced fan podcast based on the series that I know of. It is the third incarnation of what began eight years ago as Zeus Plug. A printed A5, hand-distributed ‘pub zine’ then migrated online as Zeus Blog. Now the Zeus name has a new lease of life as a lively and upbeat weekly audio podcast, hosted by Jono Park. I was the guest on Zeus Pod.
