An exploration of layering where large sheets of timber are cut and holed to create imaginary urban windows opening up internal views to imagined interiors. The forms painted grey to soften the shadows and make the windows appear deeper and softer. The layers becoming more complex the further into the shape you look with elements of colour and detail highlighted. The form in part being both figurative and expressive of perhaps a battleship under construction. A model of a very long submarine building.

Imaginary houses that responds to low cloud, rain and sun. Buildings with colourful interiors warm and secure. Architecture with small openings and large urban windows set within thick functional walls and skin like elevations that open or close in response to the weather. An architecture that is crafted, monolithic and only complex when required. In opposition to Le Corbusiers mantra that ship shape architecture should be experienced against blue sky and sunlight. Study of linear house form.
