right here right now: A Future and a Hope
http://awaitressnamedlinda.blogspot.com/2011/04/hope.html
Right here right now. Discovering joy in the journey. Monday, 11 April 2011. A Future and a Hope. I was leaving a friend's house late one evening last week when I saw her in the lobby. A tall, dark-haired, beautiful woman in her mid-40's, crying softly as she sat on the bench. When she saw me she tried to conceal her tears. For a minute I stood and felt a little awkward. Fiddled with my phone. Thought about what to do. Prayed for wisdom. She shrugged. "How could you possibly help? I prayed for her outsid...

Right here right now. Discovering joy in the journey. Wednesday, 3 June 2015. I went out for coffee with a dear friend. We don't see each other often, but she is the kind of person whose depth and wisdom and joy meet me at a soul level. No pretentions, no attempts at being surficial, no skirting around one another's hurt. Just raw and real. And refreshing. The present. The now. The obstacles to the future you are dreaming for. They are real, and they are here now, and they may never be hurdled. I have of...

right here right now: Arthropods in Africa
http://awaitressnamedlinda.blogspot.com/2012/09/arthropods-in-africa.html
Right here right now. Discovering joy in the journey. Tuesday, 11 September 2012. I don't think that arthopods in Africa and facing fear in life is a perfect analogy. If it was, I would break down every aspect of it with a cheezy line of peppy encouragement. But, that's not how I roll. In a nutshell:. Bugs gross me out. I don't get God when I think about them. Unwelcome, they invade anyway, and living in fear is incompatible with contentment and joy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

In the past I have had other names - Ferenji, Yoo-Enn, Mizungu, and Gringa to name a few. They all mean the same - that I am a stranger in a strange land, an alien, a foreigner. Monday, 17 May 2010. Right here right now. Discovering joy in the journey. Monday, 10 January 2011. It is referendum week in Sudan from January 9th to 15th. The Southerners are voting to determine if Africa's largest nation will remain one or divide into two. Please pray for the decision of the people to be held on both sides of the border, and that peace will prevail for all of Sudan's people. The results of the vote are set to be announced sometime early February. How can I subscribe to your blog Sandra?

Wabi-sabi (侘寂) represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic cente red on the acceptance of transience. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent and incomplete". It is a concept derived from the Buddhist assertion of the Three marks of existence, specifically impermanence. Http:/ en.wikipedia.org/wi. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Harvest Moon: December 2007
http://prairigrl.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
CLICK HERE FOR BLOGGER TEMPLATES. What is to give light must endure burning. Sunday, December 02, 2007. Late at night, I often believe I can save the world.or at least myself. I am convinced if I ponder long enough about the world's problems, my loved ones' or my own - probably, mostly my own - my powers will prevail. I begin to have the ability to think in dizzying circles that create vortexes that can collapse one into a semi-hypnotic state. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

D I intend to buy myself tickets, with hope, in August, as I certainly would love to carry on the tradition. For a long time, I have meant to send in a story to your “Story Exchange”, but have never seemed to have the time to write. Well, now I have the time, so here it is. To expect less is to be fooling oneself. ...
