Now that we aren't going to the vet every few days, I finally have some time to sit and watch my hummingbirds. They may think I'm more of a stalker than a watcher.but they are cute and oblige. The females seem to be most active now. The males were out there.they were just too busy guarding the feeders to be still long enough for a photo op. On a recen...

Hound Life: My Goodness, The Nerve
http://houndlife.blogspot.com/2014/06/my-goodness-nerve.html
Monday, June 30, 2014. My Goodness, The Nerve. Earlier this month one of the volunteers from BaasGalgo. And asked if they could post one of the photos to the BaasGalgo Facebook page. They added a clever caption, and so far, the photo. Has been shared over 12,000 times! One of my coworkers helped with the translation. The caption within the photo reads:. You say someone has eaten the toilet paper? My goodness, the nerve.". And the comment with the photo reads: "Waku didn't do it, he's a saint." :).

Hound Life: Spratt's Greyhound Cakes
http://houndlife.blogspot.com/2014/06/timeless-tuesday-2014-06-24.html
Monday, June 23, 2014. For thus week's Timeless Tuesday, a (partial) history lesson in dog food, thanks to Dr. Rachel Addleman:. In 1860, James Spratt, an electrician and lightning rod salesman from Ohio, was the first to manufacture a dried dog biscuit food. While living in England, Spratt observed street dogs eating ship hardtack, the non-perishable food made from processed cereals. The idea for commercial dog food was born. Read the rest of the story here. Hugs (from the Northern Argentine Patagonia).

Hound Life: December 2010
http://houndlife.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 19, 2010. Our Day of Outtakes. Ever have one of those days when nothing turns out as you'd planned? Well, today was one of those days, at least when it comes to photography. This morning we headed up to Church Hill to look for period decorations. Some of the homes are so beautifully decorated, many with Victorian themes. I took a few photos, but none of them turned out. even the pictures of the dogs were a bust. Believe it or not, these are the best of the bunch. And this is out it ended.
