With all life's up and downs what else can you do? Wednesday, October 22, 2008. After the drama of the kids parade we decided. We'd had enough of Peach Days. We decided instead to go to Mantua. Reservoir and take the kids out in our little rubber raft. The water was really cold but we had a great time. The kids enjoying the beach after we went out in our boat. June and Brig having a picnic snack. Saturday, October 11, 2008. Almost A Face On A Milk Carton. We enjoyed the parade but then the trauma began.

Brave Captain: August 2007
http://brave-captain.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 16, 2007. It's a very special time here at our house. And by "special", I mean "involving a disturbing surprise". Every year, we follow the old-fashioned tradition of coloring and hiding hard-boiled Easter eggs. After the great Egg Scare of 2004 (ES04), when we found a forgotten (but still intact) decorated egg a few days after Easter, we decided to meticulously document the number and location of all eggs hidden indoors from now on. How could this single egg have slipped past the radar?

Brave Captain: September 2007
http://brave-captain.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 20, 2007. It's just really important that people are put in the RIGHT compartments, so they can be appropriately judged (are you judging me? You're judging me aren't you! Enter: Nerd Test 2.0! Posted by Wally.Paxton. Links to this post. Saturday, September 08, 2007. An ant on the tablecloth. Ran into a dormant moth. Of many times his size. He showed not the least surprise. His business wasn't with such. He gave it scarcely a touch,. And was off on his duty run. Ants are a curious race;.

Brave Captain: Inside Delta Force
http://brave-captain.blogspot.com/2008/05/inside-delta-force.html
Wednesday, May 07, 2008. Finally found time to finish "Inside Delta Force" by one of the original Delta Force operators, Eric Haney. After getting a vivid idea of what the U.S. was up against in the 70s and 80s, I can only imagine what our brave men and women in the armed forces are facing today. It's not just the Delta Force either. A lot of young men and women are facing danger every day so we can worry about gas prices and the weather instead of shrapnel and stray bullets. O ne Oregon couple. Thanks f...

Brave Captain: January 2008
http://brave-captain.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. Question of the Week. Which would you prefer: 1) a wild, turbulent life filled with joy, sorrow, passion, and adventure - intoxicating successes and stunning setbacks; or 2) a happy, secure, predictable life surrounded by friends and family without such wide swings of fortune and mood? From the very thought-provoking "Book of Questions" by Gregory Stock). What about option 1) surrounded by family and friends? Would you still choose secure and predictable? Links to this post.

The Mack Pack: Gettin' so BIG!
http://mackleyfam.blogspot.com/2010/12/gettin-so-big.html
Friday, December 3, 2010. Jackson is just about 8 months now and he has mastered so many milestones. He sits up like a pro, starting to crawl backwards, and can even push himself up to a sitting position. We are enjoying him so much! Carter and Spencer are such great big brothers and are the best of pals. I can't even imagine the day when they are all in cahoots with each other driving me up the wall with their antics and loudness, but I'm sure that it's going to be great! We have much to be thankful for!

The Mack Pack: April 2010
http://mackleyfam.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Spencer is on a Single A team with a lot of his friends and classmates. He's having fun, learning a lot, and is getting better and better. We love that he bats left handed, but is a total righty, and has such a smooth stroke. His defense is quite good as well, and can I just say am very proud that he majoritively plays short-stop! I've only made it to 1 game, well only part of it really with just having Jackson, but he looks great out there and is doing well. Links to this post.
