Mimi @ WEL: Going into Overdrive
http://mimiatwel.blogspot.com/2008/07/going-into-overdrive.html
Monday, July 14, 2008. I checked out Overdrive media, our downloadable digital audio book collection. I was sad that they weren't seperated into juvenile and adult, and sad that a good portion of my (heavily sci-fi and fantasy related) to-be-read list wasn't on there and also sad that I couldn't put the book onto my i-pod. Still, I found The Host. Labels: 23 things week 9. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Are you there blog? Librarian of the Wastes. Werewolf in the Workroom.

Tsunami Dreams: August 2008
http://zobe66.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 14, 2008. I tried this stuff called tempeh ( temp -A not temp-uh) made from fermented beans ( sounds disgusting, but is actually really tasty). Tempeh delivers 16 grams of fiber in a mere 4oz. I ate some for dinner on a whole wheat bun. It was really good. Thank you Jen from Outreach for encouraging me to try this new food. Tsunami Dreams: Green Hummus and Orange Carrots
http://zobe66.blogspot.com/2008/08/green-hummus-and-orange-carrots.html
Wednesday, August 6, 2008. Green Hummus and Orange Carrots. Tonight Anthony and I made green hummus. We had a great time pushing the spinach into the hole in the Cuisinart and watching the pale beige goop turn green. ( visualize whirled peas)I ate it with carrot sticks and Ant used his fingers . It was really tasty but instead of 5 cloves of garlic next time I'm going with 3. It was a bit too garlicky. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Librarian of the Wastes. Naming A Blog Is Hard: May 2008
http://23thingsaboutsteve.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Naming A Blog Is Hard. No, seriously. It is. Worse than Calculus 2. Thursday, May 22, 2008. RSS feeds, bloglines, and you (and me too). Ah, RSS feeds. How useful you are! RSS is not a new thing for me; I already use an RSS reader to collect feeds from both library and game-related blogs. Well, I guess I can't really say that I. That being said, I was kind of confused that we are using Bloglines for this exercise because Google already has its own RSS reader called Google Reader. This is what I used w...

Naming A Blog Is Hard: Mmm, del.icio.us!
http://23thingsaboutsteve.blogspot.com/2008/06/mmm-delicious.html
Naming A Blog Is Hard. No, seriously. It is. Worse than Calculus 2. Thursday, June 5, 2008. Mmm, del.icio.us! I'm not sure how useful this kind of thing would be in a library with regards to assisting the public. I definitely see the use of it in making my own set of bookmarks that can be accessed for any computer. Perhaps I'll hang on to my account! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Naming A Blog Is Hard: Wikis
http://23thingsaboutsteve.blogspot.com/2008/06/wikis.html
Naming A Blog Is Hard. No, seriously. It is. Worse than Calculus 2. Saturday, June 14, 2008. I've been aware of Wikis for a few years now, but I never really thought of them as anything besides an online encyclopedia of sorts until I saw the Wikis in Plain English video. Doing something as simple as planning a trip might seem to be a bit too simple of an application for a wiki to me, but it opened my eyes to similar uses of wikis. June 21, 2008 at 2:36 PM. http://mimiatwel.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2008. Ok Here it goes. I actually tried doing this for my second post but well, youtube removed the video I had posted, probably because it took forever to load. Here is the original video I had posted:. It's the teaser trailer for Twilight. I loved the book. I can't wait to see the movie. I am too excited. There are no words. Labels: 23 things week 9. A blog for chronicling my 23 things experiences and reading recommendations of the moment, along with occasionally random library things. Saturday, June 28, 2008. The Tube of You. This is one of my favorite all time YouTube vidoes. I love music covers. I also love poetry. There are tons of excellent poems you can hear on YouTube, which could make a really cool library program. There is a fantastic series of videos created by JWTNY. Check this one out. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Tube of You.

This was a fun list to look through. Two special favorites are imcooked. Im cooked is a subject specific content collection of user made cooking shows!
