Sunday, August 19, 2012. While i was at work Jake adopted a Borador (border collie/lab) puppy from the Humane Society. We named her Pepper. Jake was explaining to Ryan that Pepper didn't feel good (she had just been spayed). So Ryan patted her on the head and said "Don't cry Pepperoni dog! Thursday, August 16, 2012. Monday, September 3, 2012. We're slowly getting Ryan used to the potty. He loves to tear up pieces of toilet paper and flush them (over and over again) as he says "Bye-bye paper towel! He loves to get on his step stool and look in the mirror to admire himself as he washes his hands. He tells us "I went poo-poo! Very proudly. But it is nearly impossible to get him to sit still on his little potty for more than 5 seconds. He will sit on it, make a pretend noise, then jump up and say "All done!

Sunday, September 25, 2011. Ryan's first birthday was a huge hit, but i'm glad it's a one time thing because i was a little stressed! The party turned out great and Ryan had so much fun, so it was totally worth it. Jake grilled out hamburgers and hotdogs while all the kids played in the playroom downstairs. Jake never saw anything so he went into the kitchen to get a towel and try to get it off of him. So we brought Ryan into the kitchen to point out the marker and explain that you only color on paper and not on anything else but when Jake said "You see this? Ryan proudly exclaimed "RYAN did it!
