Division is escorting the survivors of 1. Austrian corps to Munich as prisoners of war. French corps and 2. Austrian corps have heavy battle casualties, and were expected to rest and recover. Cavalry, supported by one brigade, sent to pin Spanish on left hill. Spanish have moved their artillery to the centre of valley. One infantry brigade remains on left hand hill.

They failed to inflict any casualties and the cavalry completed their recce. Spanish corps have run out of supply. They fought their way out of the siege of Almarez.
