Monday, March 30, 2015. I'm SO, SO glad we chose to have a birth photographer! Even Jon, who was very skeptical of paying for a birth photographer, was emotional when looking at the birth pictures. I'm working on making a photo book out of them. There are 271 photos, so these are only a handful compared to how many I have! If you are in our area I recommend Grasshopper Studios! Friday, October 31, 2014. I honestly cannot remember the last Halloween it was SO cold! Penelope had her costume on and was ready to roll. I told her she would need a coat. Who? She protested. My solution? Let's go outside and take a couple of pictures in your costume. You can tell by her lovely expressions that she was ready to head back in and put on a coat! We made a few stops here in town, and then headed to Rachel and Darren's. Penelope and Lucian stayed warm in the wagon! She looked adorable in it!

Thursday, September 27, 2012. Lucian Raines Higgins- Birth Story. On September 15, Darren and I decided to go for a walk at 7:15AM on that Saturday because we just couldn't sleep anymore. We got all ready with our jackets on (yes, jackets because it was 60 something degrees! And started walking out the door. I opened the door to walk out and my water broke!
