http://watchingforwhales.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 12, 2012. Summer hodgepodge part two. These are random photos from Ryan's phone. Quite time in the beaver lodge at the Aquarium. It's been a long day. :). Time with Frank, Erin and a fashionable Shakira. Snacks at the Zoellick-Maragi house. Getting her feet wet. Lucy and Elmo wishing Aunt Kelly happy birthday. These are a few photos from the rain event and flooding in Duluth this summer. This stream is just a blocks from our house. Lucy and Ryan often visit me at work on the weekends.

Monday, May 28, 2012. I will spare you the details of my four day bout with the flu. Here are some other things we were up to this weekend. Ryan is training her early. She's got quite the putt. All ready to head out the door. Except for the missing pants that is. The calculator is Lucy's "phone". Thanks Lu for showing me how much we're attached to our iphones.maybe I should stop taking it to bed with me. Decorating the inside of the rocket ship. Sunday, May 13, 2012. Watching for whales: August 2013
http://watchingforwhales.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Yes, there are places more north than Duluth. We recently got a spontaneous invite to join Adriane, Steven and Zoella at a cabin on a lake in Ely. Spontaneous is usually the easiest way for us to roll. So we said, YES! After a beautiful drive through the wetlands of northern MN, we arrived in time for dinner. Lucy and Z warmed up fast and pitter pattered all over the cabin and the grounds. Right before these girls just decided to go for it and get very wet. Sunday, August 4, 2013.

Watching for whales: Maarit Mattson is back...and other moments from our summer
http://watchingforwhales.blogspot.com/2013/09/maarit-mattson-is-backand-other-moments.html
Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Maarit Mattson is back.and other moments from our summer. Maarit (aka Maarti) Mattson is back in Northern Minnesota with her lovely parents and little brother Gustaf. Lucky for us, we've had a few adventures with these cool kids this summer. The Aquarium is a favorite stop for everyone, although I sometimes pass on this part of the playing. There is only so much a person can hang out at work, no matter how cool their place of employment is. Big smiles from Maarit and Lucy....

Watching for whales: April 2012
http://watchingforwhales.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 22, 2012. Random shots of Spring. It's smelting (and therefore collections) season in Duluth/at work. Lucy tested out the captain seat on Jay's boat. Rock collecting is an intense past time. We're trying to establish that the rocks live outside (in the special rock dish). It will be a little while until she discovers that there are actually a large number of rocks living in the house. Does this handbag match my outfit? Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Lucy and Linnea share a moment. I want to eat...

Watching for whales: November 2012
http://watchingforwhales.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 22, 2012. This is what I'm thankful for. Family memories like the flavor of thyme on carrots, family outings on the shore, pretending, art, my daughter laughing at my husband's antics, anticipating the holiday season full of friends, family, christmas carols and snow. It's been a good good day. Art time. Ryan was even invited into the gluing. There were a lot of puddles to stomp in. Lucy is grateful for those. As I said, it was a good good day. Saturday, November 17, 2012. Christmas Ci...

Watching for whales: February 2012
http://watchingforwhales.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Blizzard and a birthday. We had a snow day today. It was a blizzard out there! Fun to finally have some snow. The 40 mi/hr winds were a bit much for the toddler but we had a good time inside. Boxes were turned into houses, mailboxes and seats. Toys were strewn about and there was some skyping with grandparents. It is leap day and Ryan's dad (Grandpa Brian) turned 16! Wow The time flies by. It's crazy how much bigger she is since the last time. Thursday, February 23, 2012.
